Role Overview

Position: M&A; Tax (Sr. Associate / Manager)

Location: Pune

Experience: 5+ years overall (CA with 3+ years relevant experience preferred)

Compensation: ₹15 LPA to ₹25 LPA (based on expertise)

A premier, boutique transaction advisory firm expanding transaction tax and deal structuring practice in Pune. Looking for an experienced M&A; Tax specialist to work directly on high-stakes domestic and cross-border transactions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage tax due diligence for acquisitions, investments, and business restructuring.

2. Advise clients on M&A; tax structuring, including share purchase, slump sale, merger, demerger, and other restructuring options.

3. Analyse direct tax implications of transactions and identify key tax risks.

4. Support preparation and review of transaction documents from a tax perspective.

5. Work closely with legal, finance,



and transaction advisory teams.

6. Prepare client presentations, transaction reports, and tax advisory notes.

7. Support client discussions and independently manage assigned engagements.

Candidate Profile

Qualification: CA preferred with 3+ years of relevant experience in M&A; Tax / Transaction Tax / Corporate Tax.

Core Skills: Robust understanding of Indian direct tax regulations and transaction structuring.

Bonus: Exposure to cross-border taxation, FEMA, and international tax would be an advantage.

Soft Skills: Solid analytical, communication, and client management skills.
