Job Description

TREAT is looking for an experienced and technically skilled Senior Production Engineer to manage and supervise Machine Shop production activities.

The candidate should have strong experience in operating, setting up and managing CNC and heavy machining operations, particularly involving the following machines:

Machine Shop Experience Required

- HBM – Horizontal Boring Machine
- HMC – Horizontal Machining Center
- HDM – Heavy Duty Machine
- VTL – Vertical Turning Lathe

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, organize and supervise daily Machine Shop production activities.
- Ensure efficient utilization of HBM, HMC, HDM and VTL machines.
- Prepare and monitor daily production plans and schedules.
- Coordinate with Production, Planning, Quality and Maintenance Departments.
- Ensure production targets are achieved within the required timeline.
- Monitor machine productivity, cycle time and production efficiency.
- Optimize machining processes to improve productivity and reduce cycle time.
- Ensure proper machine setup, tooling and fixtures for production.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Ensure components are manufactured as per drawings and quality requirements.
- Monitor dimensional accuracy using appropriate measuring instruments.
- Coordinate with the QC Department for inspection and quality clearance.
- Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
- Reduce material wastage, rework and production losses.




- Monitor manpower deployment and allocate operators based on production requirements.
- Train and guide Machine Shop Operators and Junior Engineers.
- Ensure proper implementation of safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Maintain production records and prepare daily production reports.
- Coordinate with the Maintenance Department for machine breakdown and preventive maintenance.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and 5S practices in the Machine Shop.
- Support continuous improvement and productivity improvement initiatives.

Qualification & Experience

- Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: Relevant experience in Machine Shop Production and Heavy Machining.
- Strong knowledge of HBM, HMC, HDM and VTL machines is preferred.
- Experience in handling Machine Shop production teams will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of engineering drawings, machining processes and measuring instruments is required.

Salary

Salary will be based on relevant experience, technical skills and current industry standards.
