Job Summary

Maxima Automation Solutions is looking for a skilled and motivated Project Engineer – Automation & Instrumentation to manage and execute automation and instrumentation projects at client sites.

The candidate will be responsible for coordinating site activities, supervising installation and commissioning work, managing manpower, coordinating with clients and internal teams, and ensuring projects are completed as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, coordinate, and execute automation and instrumentation activities at project sites.
- Supervise installation, testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities.
- Coordinate with site supervisors, technicians, electricians, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Ensure work is executed as per approved P&IDs;, GA drawings, hook-up drawings, cable schedules, loop drawings, and project specifications.
- Supervise installation and commissioning of field instruments, control panels, junction boxes, cables, tubing, impulse lines, and related equipment.
- Coordinate cable laying, glanding, termination, testing, and troubleshooting activities.
- Support and coordinate PLC, SCADA, HMI, DCS, and industrial automation system installation and commissioning.
- Monitor calibration, loop checking, continuity testing, functional testing, and commissioning activities.
- Prepare daily progress reports, manpower reports, material requirements, and project status updates.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants,



vendors, and internal engineering teams.
- Monitor project schedules and ensure assigned milestones and targets are achieved.
- Identify technical issues, drawing discrepancies, material shortages, and site constraints and coordinate appropriate solutions.
- Ensure proper utilization of manpower, materials, tools, and equipment.
- Coordinate inspection activities with QA/QC teams and client representatives.
- Ensure compliance with project quality standards, safety procedures, PPE requirements, and permit-to-work systems.
- Assist with preparation and closure of punch points, snag lists, test reports, commissioning records, and project handover documentation.
- Participate in project meetings and provide regular updates to the Project Manager.

Required Qualifications

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Instrumentation, Electronics & Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, Automation, or a related discipline.
- 3–4 years of relevant experience in Automation and Instrumentation projects.
- Experience in industrial automation, instrumentation installation, testing, commissioning, or project execution.
- Valuable knowledge of PLC, SCADA, HMI, DCS, and industrial automation systems.
- Knowledge of field instruments, control valves, transmitters, sensors, junction boxes, control panels, and cable termination.
- Ability to understand and interpret P&IDs;, electrical drawings, hook-up drawings, loop diagrams, cable schedules, and technical specifications.




- Experience in calibration, loop checking, functional testing, and commissioning will be preferred.
- Strong project coordination and manpower management skills.
- Good communication, reporting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently at client/project sites.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- 3–4 years of experience in Automation & Instrumentation Project Execution.
- Experience working in manufacturing plants, industrial projects, process industries, or automation projects.
- Hands-on experience in installation, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning.
- Experience coordinating with clients, contractors, technicians, and internal engineering teams.
- Immediate joiners or candidates with a short notice period will be preferred.
- Willingness to travel and work at project sites as per project requirements.

Salary

CTC: ₹60,000 – ₹65,000 per month

Salary will be based on the candidate's relevant experience, technical knowledge, and suitability for the role.
