About the Role

We are looking for an experienced CDSL DP Manager to manage day-to-day depository operations and ensure timely, accurate, and compliant processing of demat-related activities. The candidate should have strong practical knowledge of CDSL operations, DP processes, regulatory requirements, documentation, and client servicing.

Key Responsibilities1. Demat Account Operations

- Manage end-to-end demat account opening, activation, modification, and closure.
- Verify KYC, account-opening documentation, and client details as per applicable requirements.
- Process client requests related to demat account modifications and updates.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of client and DP records.

2. Pledge & Securities Operations

- Process and monitor pledge and unpledge requests.
- Handle securities-related instructions and ensure timely execution.
- Manage freeze and unfreeze requests as per client instructions and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Handle transmission, rematerialisation/dematerialisation and other applicable DP requests.

3. Compliance & Regulatory Operations

- Ensure DP operations are conducted in accordance with CDSL, SEBI and applicable regulatory guidelines.
- Maintain proper records, registers, documentation, and audit trails.




- Coordinate for DP audits, inspections, compliance reviews, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor pending exceptions and ensure timely resolution.
- Ensure adherence to internal SOPs and compliance controls.

4. Client & Internal Coordination

- Resolve client queries related to demat accounts and DP services.
- Coordinate with KYC, Compliance, Back Office, RMS, Accounts, and Customer Support teams.
- Handle escalations related to DP transactions and account servicing.
- Ensure timely communication and closure of operational issues.

5. Reporting & Control

- Maintain daily/periodic MIS related to DP operations.
- Monitor pending account-opening, modification, closure, pledge/unpledge and other requests.
- Identify operational discrepancies and take corrective action.
- Ensure proper documentation and record retention for audit and compliance purposes.

Required Skills & Knowledge

- Strong practical knowledge of CDSL DP operations.
- Good understanding of Demat Account, KYC, Pledge/Unpledge, Freeze/Unfreeze and Account Closure processes.
- Knowledge of SEBI/CDSL regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Experience with DP/back-office software and related systems.
- Solid documentation and record-management skills.

- Strong coordination and communication skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- 3+ years of relevant experience in CDSL DP / Depository Operations / Stock Broking.
- Candidates currently working with a Stock Broker, Depository Participant, or Capital Market organisation will be preferred.
- Should have hands-on experience in day-to-day DP operations rather than only theoretical knowledge.
- Should be comfortable handling regulatory audits, compliance requirements, and operational escalations.
