About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Electrical Maintenance Engineer to manage electrical maintenance activities at our textile manufacturing facility in Gurgaon.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and reliable operation of electrical systems, machinery, production equipment, and utility systems, while minimizing breakdowns and maintaining electrical safety standards.

Key Responsibilities1. Electrical Maintenance

- Handle day-to-day electrical maintenance and troubleshooting of plant machinery and equipment.
- Attend electrical breakdowns and restore machines safely and quickly.
- Identify root causes of repeated electrical failures and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain electrical panels, MCCs, PCCs, distribution boards, motors, starters, contactors, relays, sensors, etc.
- Troubleshoot VFDs, soft starters, PLC-related electrical issues, and control circuits.
- Monitor electrical equipment to prevent unexpected breakdowns.

2. Preventive & Predictive Maintenance

- Prepare and execute preventive maintenance schedules.
- Conduct regular inspection of motors, panels, cables, switches, transformers and other electrical equipment.
- Maintain proper maintenance records and breakdown history.
- Plan replacement of critical electrical components before failure.
- Monitor machine electrical performance and identify potential problems.

3. Power & Utility Systems





- Monitor plant electrical power distribution.
- Maintain and troubleshoot:
- LT/HT electrical panels
- Transformers
- DG sets
- MCC/PCC panels
- Capacitor/APFC panels
- Motors and pumps
- Compressors and other utility equipment
- Monitor power factor, voltage, current and electrical load.
- Coordinate with electricity distribution authorities and electrical contractors when required.

4. Safety & Compliance

- Ensure all electrical maintenance work follows proper electrical safety procedures.
- Implement LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures during maintenance.
- Ensure proper earthing and electrical protection systems.
- Conduct regular inspection of electrical installations.
- Ensure compliance with applicable electrical safety requirements.
- Maintain proper PPE and safe working practices for the maintenance team.

5. Team & Vendor Management

- Supervise electricians and electrical maintenance technicians.
- Allocate daily maintenance jobs and monitor completion.
- Train technicians on safe maintenance practices and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate with external vendors/service engineers for specialized equipment.
- Maintain inventory of critical electrical spare parts.

6. Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain daily breakdown and maintenance reports.
- Prepare preventive maintenance reports.
- Maintain records of electrical spare parts and consumption.




- Track machine downtime and identify major causes of breakdown.
- Report major electrical issues and maintenance requirements to management.

Required Skills

- Robust knowledge of industrial electrical maintenance.
- Good troubleshooting skills in motors, control panels and electrical circuits.
- Knowledge of VFDs, PLCs, sensors, contactors, relays and control systems.
- Knowledge of DG sets, transformers, APFC panels and electrical distribution.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices.
- Good knowledge of electrical safety and LOTO.
- Good team-management and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure during production breakdowns.

Educational Qualification

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering

Experience

3–7 years of experience in industrial/manufacturing electrical maintenance.

Experience in a textile manufacturing plant will be preferred.

Preferred Candidate

- Experience in textile machinery electrical maintenance.
- Experience with VFDs and PLC-based machines.
- Experience handling electrical maintenance teams.
- Good understanding of plant power distribution.
- Strong breakdown troubleshooting ability.
- Willingness to work in shifts when required.

Salary

₹25,000 – ₹30,000 per month, depending on experience, technical skills and suitability.
