JOB DESCRIPTION FOR PROJECT MANAGER.

Location: Thane

Department – Project Management

Reporting To – Head of Department

Job Type- Full Type

About The Role:

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Project Manager to lead and manage MEP consultancy projects from concept through design, tendering, construction, testing, commissioning, and project closeout.

The Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating multidisciplinary MEP design activities, managing project deliverables and timelines, liaising with clients and stakeholders, and ensuring that projects are delivered in accordance with technical, commercial, quality, and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage MEP consultancy projects from inception to completion.
- Develop project execution plans, schedules, deliverables, and resource requirements.
- Coordinate Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, ELV, HVAC, BMS, and other building services disciplines.
- Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams to ensure integrated and clash-free designs.
- Review and approve design concepts, calculations, drawings, specifications, reports, and technical submissions.
- Ensure MEP designs comply with applicable local codes, standards, authority requirements, and project specifications.
- Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, civil consultants, contractors, vendors, and other project stakeholders.
- Conduct regular project coordination and technical review meetings.
- Monitor project progress against approved schedules, budgets, and milestones.
- Identify project risks, design issues, and potential delays and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
- Manage client communication and provide regular project status reports.
- Review tender documents, BOQs, specifications, and technical bid evaluations.
- Support procurement and contractor/vendor selection from a technical perspective.
- Review contractor shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical proposals.




- Monitor site progress and provide technical direction during construction.
- Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
- Ensure proper documentation, including as-built drawings, O&M; manuals, test reports, and project closeout documents.
- Manage variations, design changes, and technical queries in coordination with the client and project team.
- Ensure quality assurance and quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Mentor and guide MEP engineers and design coordinators within the project team.

Key Technical Areas

The candidate should have a strong understanding of building services, including:

- HVAC and Mechanical Services
- Electrical Power Distribution and Lighting
- Plumbing and Drainage Systems
- Fire Fighting and Fire Alarm Systems
- ELV / ICT / Security Systems
- Building Management Systems (BMS)
- Energy Efficiency and Sustainability
- Vertical Transportation interfaces
- Utility and infrastructure coordination
- Testing & Commissioning

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or a related MEP discipline.
- Professional engineering certification or relevant industry accreditation is preferred.
- 10+ years of relevant experience, preferably with an MEP consultancy, engineering consultancy, or multidisciplinary design firm.
- Proven experience managing large-scale commercial, residential, hospitality, healthcare, industrial, or mixed-use projects.
- Strong knowledge of MEP design principles, construction practices, codes, and standards.
- Experience in project planning, coordination, design management, and site supervision.




- Proficiency in relevant software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Navisworks, MS Project/Primavera, and Microsoft Office.
