Job Purpose:
Responsible for admission, monitoring and discharge of the infants/babies.
Job Responsibilities:
- Admission and discharge of the patients
- Provide with intravenous therapies, food feedings and monitors the baby.
- Make the baby feel comfortable.
- Provide full detailed knowledge about the baby to mother.
- Ensure every activity performed on ill infant is purely hygienic.
- Works in shifts with other staff and wears all the gear that is needed.
- Ensures the functioning of all devices is good.
- Produce all the reports of ill infant to doctor which help him/her to monitor the baby condition.
- Responsible for all documentation as per policy and all forms which are necessary for the patient
- The nurses have to keep checking on the patients constantly during their duty as all the patients are in critical condition
- Care of the dying and dead
- Maintenance of therapeutic environment in the ward
- BLS and NALS/PALS trained staff.
Candidate Requirements:
- Good knowledge of written and spoken English; Excellent understanding of local languages.
- Demonstrate an organized, effective and timely approach to all tasks.
- Valuable communication skills and the ability to in-still confidence in patients.
- Ability to adhere to patient confidentiality.
- Ability to act as part of a multi – cultural and multidisciplinary team.
- Professional and personal flexibility.
- Ability to cope with stress.
