Trainer – Retail Sales to deliver high-quality vocational training aligned with the Retail Sales Associate / Retail Trainee Associate job role. The Trainer will be responsible for imparting theoretical knowledge and practical skills related to retail sales, customer service, store operations, merchandising, inventory handling, and sales processes.

The ideal candidate should have relevant experience in retail store operations and/or sales, with a strong understanding of customer engagement, product selling, retail processes, and day-to-day store management. The candidate should also possess at least one year of supervisory or training experience and be capable of effectively engaging and mentoring trainees.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver structured classroom and practical training aligned with the RAS/Q0103 – Retail Sales Associate / Retail Trainee Associate job role.
- Develop trainees' knowledge and practical skills in retail sales and store operations.
- Train candidates on customer service, customer interaction, need identification, product presentation, and sales techniques.
- Provide practical training on the retail sales process, including customer engagement, product demonstration, upselling, cross-selling, and closing sales.
- Train trainees on retail store operations, including stock handling, inventory management, replenishment, merchandise display, and housekeeping.
- Explain and demonstrate point-of-sale (POS) operations, billing procedures, payment methods, and basic transaction processes.
- Provide training on product knowledge, pricing, promotions, discounts, and retail offers.




- Develop trainees' communication, interpersonal, teamwork, and qualified skills required for retail employment.
- Conduct practical demonstrations, role plays, simulations, group activities, and assessments to enhance learning outcomes.
- Monitor trainee attendance, participation, performance, and overall progress.
- Conduct periodic assessments and provide constructive feedback to trainees.
- Maintain training records, assessment documentation, lesson plans, and other required reports.
- Support trainees in developing workplace readiness, professional behaviour, and customer-handling skills.
- Ensure training delivery is aligned with applicable Skill India / NSDC / SSC standards and organisational requirements, wherever applicable.
- Coordinate with the Centre Manager and relevant team members regarding training schedules, assessments, placement readiness, and trainee performance.
- Support placement activities by preparing trainees for interviews and employment opportunities in the retail sector.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, disciplined, and learner-friendly training environment.

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in any relevant discipline.
- Relevant educational background in Retail Management, Sales, Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field will be preferred.
- Relevant vocational or industry certifications in retail and sales will be an added advantage.

Experience Required

- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in Retail Store Operations and/or Sales.
- The candidate must have at least 1 year of supervisory or training experience, included within the overall 4 years of relevant experience.
- Candidates with experience as a Retail Sales Executive, Store Supervisor, Store Manager, Sales Supervisor, Retail Trainer, or similar role will be preferred.
- Experience in vocational training, skill development, or working with youth and diverse learner groups will be an advantage.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹32,000.00 per month
