To prepare, revise and maintain accurate engineering drawings for plant modifications, equipment installation and new industrial projects. The candidate must possess excellent hands-on AutoCAD skills and practical experience in converting site conditions and engineering inputs into detailed, execution-ready drawings. And willing to work in Maintenance department Key Responsibilities
- Prepare new AutoCAD drawings from site measurements, sketches, engineering inputs, vendor drawings and existing plant documents.
- Independently read, interpret, edit, revise and update existing engineering drawings.
- Prepare:
- Structural and fabrication drawings
- Equipment general arrangement drawings
- Plant and equipment layouts
- Floor plans, elevations and sections
- Piping and utility layouts
- Ducting, chute and hopper drawings
- Equipment foundation and installation drawings
- Plant modification and new-project drawings
- Detailed views and fabrication details
- Visit plant and project areas to take accurate site measurements, levels, equipment locations and routing details.
- Convert site measurements and field sketches into accurate engineering drawings.
- Verify dimensional feasibility, access, clearances, maintenance space and constructability.
- Update drawings after execution and prepare final as-built drawings.
- Review vendor drawings and incorporate approved engineering comments and revisions.
- Coordinate drawing requirements with Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Instrumentation, Production, vendors and contractors.
- Maintain drawing numbers, titles, scales, revision history, approval status and document registers.
- Maintain controlled DWG and PDF files with proper folder structure and revision traceability.
- Prepare drawings suitable for engineering review, vendor submission, fabrication, construction and management approval.
- Support quantity take-off and preparation of basic BOQ/MTO from approved drawings.
- Conduct site verification to confirm that work is executed according to approved drawings.
Mandatory Requirements
- Excellent hands-on proficiency in AutoCAD 2D drafting.
- Capability in drawing creation, editing, dimensioning, scaling, layers, blocks, external references, layouts and plotting.
- Industrial plant, EPC, manufacturing, project or engineering-consultancy drawing experience.
- Ability to independently develop drawings from sketches, vendor documents, engineering inputs and site conditions.
- Capability to take site measurements and prepare final execution and as-built drawings.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawing standards and dimensional accuracy.
Preferred Technical Exposure
- Structural, equipment GA, piping, floor-plan, elevation, ducting, chute and hopper drawings.
- AutoCAD Plant 3D, SolidWorks, Inventor, Revit or similar design software.
- Basic understanding of P&IDs;, equipment foundations, fabrication practices and piping components.
- MS Excel, MS Word and PDF editing/mark-up tools.
