Job Purpose:

The Surveillance Officer is responsible for ensuring quality control and operational excellence across assigned project sites. This role entails continuous monitoring, auditing, and documentation of mechanized and manual cleaning operations to ensure compliance with defined standards and procedures. The position plays a critical part in maintaining the integrity and effectiveness of the company’s sanitation services.

Key Responsibilities:1. Route & Activity Monitoring

- Ensure all routes are covered daily for mechanized sweeping and manual beats.
- Immediately report any deviations in:
- Channel clearance
- Heaps lifting
- Litter collection
- Footpath cleaning
- Grass cutting

2. Site Audits & Documentation

- Capture and document images of uncleared areas; submit daily reports to the Reporting Manager.
- Conduct daily on-ground inspections to assess:
- Sprinkler usage
- Sweeping speed
- Dust cloud presence
- Visibility of work being carried out
- Validity of vehicle documents

3. Vehicle & Fleet Monitoring

- Verify proper unloading of trollies as per standard operating procedures.
- Report any vehicles found idle along with reasons.
- Inspect and report on any performance gaps or misuse of cleaning equipment.

4. Manpower Monitoring

- Monitor cleaning staff for idleness or non-performance; identify reluctant personnel through detailed analysis.




- Randomly audit attendance records by cross-verifying with physical headcount and secure supervisor acknowledgements for any mismatches.

5. Safety Compliance

- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, including:
- Placement and use of safety cones
- Safe and correct vehicle driving practices
- Use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)

6. Beat Quality Assessment

- Evaluate quality of beat-based operations:
- Sweeping effectiveness
- Road gully conditions
- Grass cutting
- Proper emptying of bins

7. Alcohol Testing

- Randomly conduct alcohol consumption tests during working hours; report and document any violations.

8. Community Feedback

- Engage with residents and shopkeepers to collect daily feedback on cleanliness standards.
- Maintain and update a feedback database for review by the Reporting Manager.

9. Tractor Monitoring

- Collect daily tractor operation reports from site teams.
- Verify functional checkpoints and report deviations.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

- Proven experience in field surveillance, auditing, or quality control, preferably in sanitation or urban maintenance services.
- Solid observational and documentation skills.
- Ability to use smartphones and apps for photo documentation and reporting.
- Good interpersonal skills to interact with field staff and community members.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
