We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Trainee Technical Editor to join our team. As a trainee, you will gain hands-on experience in editing and formatting scholarly and technical content while working under the guidance of experienced editors. This role is ideal for candidates who are eager to build a career in publishing and technical editing.

What You’ll Do

- Assist in editing and formatting scholarly manuscripts according to publisher guidelines.
- Check grammar, punctuation, and spelling for correctness.
- Ensure consistency in style, reference formatting, and terminology.
- Review and format figures, tables, and equations as per journal requirements.
- Cross-check citations and references.
- Work closely with senior editors and follow feedback for improvement.
- Perform basic quality checks before final submission.

Skills Required

- Robust command of written English and attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of grammar, punctuation, and style rules.
- Familiarity with MS Word, Excel, and PDF tools.
- Ability to follow style guides and instructions accurately.
- Good time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Willingness to learn technical publishing tools (e.g., XML editing, LaTeX basics)

Eligibility Criteria

- Bachelor’s degree
- Fresh graduates or up to 1 year of editing/proofreading experience.

- Job Type: Full-time
- Shift & Schedule: Monday–Friday
- Location: Olympia cyberspace, Arulayiammanpet, SIDCO Industrial Estate, Guindy, Chennai, Tamil Nadu 600032

Pay: Up to ₹262,000.00 per year
