As an Academic Counselor, you will be the first point of contact for aspiring learners, helping them discover the right path in their musical journey. Your work will play a crucial role in driving the academy’s growth and ensuring smooth coordination of our trial classes and batch operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Sales Outreach & Lead Conversion:
- Conduct outreach calls to leads registered through Meta, Google, Justdial, and organic sources, using the relevant CRM.
- Engage leads with contextual, relationship-driven conversations to understand their interests, pitch suitable programs, and drive centre visit bookings.
- Schedule trial classes and centre visits, keeping in mind the teacher calendar — including their working hours and any planned leaves.
- Follow up consistently to ensure bookings turn into actual centre visits.
- Track and improve performance metrics:
- Lead to Booking % – How many leads confirm trial bookings.
- Booking to Visit % – How many of them attend the trial session.
- Batch Coordination & Learner Onboarding:
- Assist visiting learners in selecting suitable batches aligned with their availability and course preference.
- Refer to the teacher-wise batch calendar to suggest appropriate options and confirm their slot.

- Customer Relationship Management (CRM)

Hands-on experience with CRM tools to manage leads, track interactions, and maintain follow-up discipline.

- Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar)

Efficient in organizing data, scheduling classes/meetings, and handling operational documentation.

Soft Skills (Interpersonal & Behavioral Abilities)

- Communication Skills – Verbal (Tamil) and Verbal/Written (English)

Fluency in spoken Tamil to connect naturally with learners and parents; strong spoken and written English for internal coordination and documentation.

- Customer Engagement & Counseling

Ability to build a personal connection with each lead, understand their preferences, and guide them effectively.

- Time Management

Prioritizing and handling multiple leads, bookings, and batch operations without compromising quality.

- Team Collaboration

Working closely with the Centre Head and teachers to ensure seamless operations and learner satisfaction.

- Problem Solving

Quick thinking and tactful handling of concerns like rescheduling, teacher unavailability, or learner objections.

Qualifications

- A bachelor’s degree in any discipline is required — especially those with an interest in customer-facing or service-driven roles — are well-suited.
- Minimum 1-3 years in sales or operations in customer-facing roles.
- Experience in education, hospitality, or other service-driven industries is highly preferred.

Recruitment Guidelines for the Ideal CandidateI - Educational Background

- Minimum Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in any stream.
- Preferred Qualification: Graduates with exposure to communication, psychology, commerce, or any customer-focused curriculum.

II - Relevant Domains

Candidates with experience or exposure to the following domains will be ideal:

- Education Sales / Counseling: Training institutes, coaching centers, or academic franchises.
- Retail or Frontline Sales: High-involvement product environments (e.g., electronics, apparel, etc.)
- Hospitality or Wellness: Front desk or guest interaction roles in salons, fitness centers, or wellness clinics, Hotel, resort, or event management with a focus on customer engagement and operations.
- Fitness Industry: Gym, yoga, or wellness center operations.
- Inside Sales / Telesales: Especially where conversational selling and CRM tools were part of the role.

III - Professional Experience

- Minimum Experience: 1–3 years in customer-facing roles.
- Key Responsibilities in Prior Roles:
- Making outreach or sales calls.
- Handling follow-ups and nurturing prospects.
- Maintaining schedules or coordinating services.
- Using CRMs and daily reporting tools.

IV - Skills & Traits to Assess

- Communication: Fluency in Tamil and English; ability to build rapport over a call.
- Customer Sensitivity: Active listening and empathy.
- Sales Attitude: Confidence, consistency in follow-ups, and conversion-focused.
- Operational Discipline: Accuracy in scheduling and handling multiple leads.
- Tech Comfort: Ability to quickly learn and work with productivity tools and CRMs.

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹450,000.00 per year
