Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Dhawan Box Sheet Containers Pvt. Ltd.

Bhiwadi – Main Unit

The Role

We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join the senior leadership of Dhawan Box Sheet Containers Pvt. Ltd.

In this strategic leadership position, you will work directly with the Directors in shaping the company's financial direction, sustainability and growth.

The CFO will have overall responsibility for the financial integrity, financial discipline, profitability, compliance and financial credibility of the organization.

This is a leadership role for a finance professional who can look beyond accounting and understand the business as a whole.

This is not a routine accounting position. This is a leadership mandate.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Leadership & Control

- Lead the overall financial function of the organization and establish a robust financial framework.
- Ensure that financial information presented to the Directors is accurate, complete, timely and decision-worthy.
- Strengthen the Accounting function, ensuring completeness, accuracy and timeliness of financial records while significantly reducing errors, omissions and the need for routine management intervention.
- Establish appropriate processes, controls and accountability within the Finance function.
- Minimise the Directors' involvement in day-to-day accounting and financial matters by building a self-reliant, accountable and professionally managed Finance function.
- Drive sound financial planning, analysis, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
- Maintain strong internal controls, financial governance and audit systems.

2. Manufacturing Finance & Profitability

The CFO should have the ability to understand the economics of a manufacturing business and translate operational activity into financial outcomes.

Key areas include:

- Manufacturing costing
- Product/job-wise profitability
- Raw-material and inventory costing
- WIP and finished-goods valuation
- Standard vs. actual cost analysis
- Production efficiency and wastage analysis
- Cost reduction and margin improvement
- Inventory and working-capital optimisation
- CAPEX evaluation and ROI

The objective is not merely to report what happened, but to identify why it happened, its financial impact, and what should be done next.

3. Taxation, Statutory Compliance & Financial Governance

- Ensure the organization remains fully compliant with applicable tax, accounting, regulatory and legal requirements.
- Oversee GST, Income Tax, TDS, ROC/company-law requirements and other applicable statutory matters.
- Ensure appropriate coordination with statutory auditors, tax advisors, consultants, bankers and regulatory authorities.
- Identify potential financial, taxation and regulatory risks before they become liabilities.

- Ensure that the organization takes legitimate and well-informed advantage of Government schemes, incentives, subsidies and other available financial benefits.

4. Cash Flow, Capital & Working Capital

- Take strategic ownership of cash-flow management, liquidity, working capital and capital allocation.
- Ensure that the organization's capital is deployed efficiently and productively.
- Evaluate funding requirements and financial implications of business decisions.
- Analyse receivables, inventory, payables and other working-capital components at a strategic level.
- Ensure that adequate liquidity is maintained without unnecessary blockage of capital.

5. Strategic Financial Thinking

The CFO should be capable of looking at a business decision through both commercial and financial lenses.

The individual should be able to answer questions such as:

Where are we creating value?Where are we losing value? Why did profitability change despite changes in sales? How can we improve margins without compromising business growth?Which products, customers or business segments are genuinely profitable?Should we purchase a machine, invest in capacity, outsource, or deploy capital elsewhere? What will our cash requirements be over the coming months and years? What financial, taxation or Government opportunities are we currently not utilizing?

The CFO will be expected to challenge assumptions, identify risks and opportunities, quantify their financial impact and recommend practical courses of action to the Directors.

6. Management Information & Technology

The CFO should use technology to improve financial visibility, control and decision-making.

Experience with the following will be valuable:

- BUSY accounting system
- Advanced MS Excel
- Management MIS
- Financial dashboards
- Power BI or similar analytical tools
- Data analysis
- Process automation

Technology is expected to support financial judgment — not replace it.

7. Leadership

- Lead, develop and hold the Finance & Accounts team accountable for its performance.
- Build a department that operates with discipline, ownership, accuracy and minimal dependence on the Directors.
- Establish clear processes, responsibilities and reporting structures.
- Develop systems that prevent recurring errors rather than repeatedly correcting them.
- Work effectively with Directors, senior management, operations, production, purchase, sales, auditors, bankers and professional advisors.
- Possess the confidence and independence to provide an objective financial view,

including when that view may challenge an existing management assumption.

Accountability - With Authority Comes Responsibility.

The CFO will have significant authority and autonomy in matters falling within the financial function and, correspondingly, will be expected to accept full ownership and accountability for the financial matters entrusted to the role.

The expectation is not merely that problems are reported.

The CFO is expected to:

Identify → Analyse → Recommend → Implement → Monitor → Deliver Results.

The Finance function should ultimately become one that the Directors can trust without having to continuously supervise it.

Ideal Profile

- Chartered Accountant (CA) with substantial post-qualification experience.
- Proven senior-level experience in manufacturing finance.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing economics, costing, margins, working capital and capital expenditure.
- Demonstrated experience in financial strategy, planning, taxation, treasury, governance and risk management.
- Strong commercial understanding and ability to connect operations, sales, costs, capital and profitability.
- Excellent analytical, strategic and decision-making capability.
- High level of skilled integrity, confidentiality and independence of judgment.
- Mature leadership presence and the ability to operate comfortably at the Directors' level.
- Strong command of financial systems, BUSY, advanced Excel and management MIS.
- Ability to build systems and teams that produce reliable results without continuous senior-management intervention.

The Person We Are Looking For
