About Sandow Cafe

Sandow Cafe is a new café in Kakkanad offering gourmet sandwiches, burritos, beverages, desserts and more. We are looking for an energetic, responsible and versatile Kitchen Assistant/cashier to join our opening team.

Role Overview

This is a multi-functional role where you will be responsible for both customer-facing and kitchen-support duties. The ideal candidate should be comfortable moving between the front counter and kitchen based on the flow of business.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate the POS system and accurately process customer orders.
- Handle cash, UPI, card and other payment transactions.
- Greet customers and provide friendly, skilled service.
- Explain menu items and assist customers with their selections.
- Manage dine-in, takeaway and online delivery orders.
- Coordinate with the kitchen to ensure orders are entered and communicated correctly.
- Check orders before handing them over to customers or delivery partners.
- Maintain accurate billing and cash records.
- Handle opening and closing cashier procedures.
- Keep the counter and front-of-house area clean and organized.




- Assist with basic customer queries and resolve minor issues professionally.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff during busy hours to maintain smooth operations.
- Follow Sandow Cafe's service, hygiene and operational standards.

Requirements

- Good communication and customer-service skills.
- Basic knowledge of smartphones, computers and POS systems.
- Basic English communication is preferred.
- Malayalam is preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently during busy hours.
- Honest, punctual and responsible attitude.
- Willingness to learn and work as part of a small team.
- Previous cashier, café, restaurant or retail experience is an advantage, but freshers are welcome to apply.

Working Hours

Full-time — Shift-based

The role will primarily cover café operating hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays as required.

Location: Edachira, Kakkanad, Kochi

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
