We are looking for a proactive, results-driven Apparel Sourcing to drive our production timelines, day-to-day vendor operations, and product execution. In this role, you will act as the vital link between internal Design/Product Development teams and overseas manufacturers, ensuring samples and bulk orders are executed on time, within budget, and to exact quality standards.The ideal candidate has solid execution capabilities, deep knowledge of the apparel production lifecycle, and a proven track record of managing Time & Action (T&A;) calendars independently.
1. Merchandising & Sample Management
- Translate design tech packs accurately into physical garments by coordinating the sampling process from proto and fit samples to pre-production (PP) approval.
- Source, evaluate, and arrange fabrics, trims, and accessories as per the design requirements.
- Coordinate the review of lab dips, strike-offs, and size sets, ensuring all internal feedback is clearly communicated back to the factories.
2. Costing & Vendor Coordination
- Gather and analyze factory quotes to assist the management team in final product costing sheets.
- Verify itemized consumption costs (fabric yields, trim costs, CMT charges) to flag discrepancies.
- Coordinate documentation for vendor onboarding, purchase orders (POs), and payment approvals with the finance department.
3. Logistics & Quality Liaison
- Work alongside the Quality Assurance (QA) team to schedule inline and final AQL inspections,
reviewing defect reports before bulk shipment release.
- Partner with the logistics team to ensure all shipping invoices, packing lists, and customs documentation are accurate and dispatched on time.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Fashion Merchandising, Apparel Production, Textile Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in apparel production management, merchandising, or sourcing (buying house or brand environment preferred).
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of fabric types (knits, wovens), garment construction, and basic pattern metrics.
- Tools: High proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) and experience working with PLM or ERP software (e.g., SAP, Centric).
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to handle multi-cultural, international factory partners effectively.
