Position: Environment Engineer
Reporting Authority: Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB)

1. Statutory Applications & Approvals (GPCB)

- Preparation, submission, and follow-up of applications under:
- Consent to Establish (CTE)
- Consent to Operate (CTO)
- Consent Amendment / Expansion
- Consent Renewal
- CTN (Correction / Change Note)
- Filing applications through XGN Portal and other applicable online systems.
- Uploading of accurate technical data, annexures, undertakings, and compliance documents as per GPCB formats.

2. Environmental Compliance Assessment

- Review of proposed and existing project activities vis-à-vis:
- Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981
- Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974
- Environment (Protection) Act, 1986
- Identification of applicable environmental rules including:
- Hazardous & Other Wastes Rules, 2016
- Plastic Waste Management Rules, 2016
- E-Waste Management Rules, 2016
- Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016
- Battery Waste Management Rules, 2022 (as applicable)

3. Technical Data Preparation

- Preparation and validation of:
- Manufacturing process flow diagrams
- Material balance, water balance, and mass balance
- Air emission sources and APCM details
- Wastewater generation, treatment, reuse, and disposal details
- Assessment of pollution load and adequacy of control measures (ETP/STP/APCM).

4. Environmental Infrastructure & System Review

- Evaluation of:
- ETP/STP design adequacy and operational capacity
- Air pollution control systems (scrubber, bag filter, cyclone, etc.)
- Hazardous waste storage, handling,



and disposal practices
- Ensuring compliance with GPCB conditions and CPCB guidelines.

5. Monitoring, Records & Reporting

- Review and preparation of:
- Environmental monitoring data (air, water, noise)
- Monthly / quarterly / annual environmental records
- Hazardous waste returns and manifests
- Assistance in submission of statutory returns to GPCB and other authorities.

6. Site Inspection

- Coordination during:
- GPCB site inspections and compliance visits
- Submission of inspection replies and compliance reports
- Technical representation before:
- GPCB Regional Offices

7. Notices, Queries & Legal Support

- Drafting technically sound replies to:
- Show-cause notices
- Inspection observations
- Clarification letters issued by GPCB
- Support in preparation of compliance affidavits, undertakings, and explanatory notes.

8. Advisory & Client Support

- Advising clients on:
- Environmental compliance strategy
- Regulatory risks and mitigation measures
- Changes in environmental laws and GPCB circulars
- Ensuring timelines are met subject to availability of complete and correct inputs.

9. Documentation & Record Management

- Maintenance of:
- Application records
- Consent conditions and compliance status
- Correspondence with regulatory authorities
- Ensuring audit-ready documentation at all times.

Any person having degree of environment engineer and BSc/MSc Setting Science can apply.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
