- TWI/BGAS Grade 2 Painting Inspector

Job Description:

We are looking for a qualified Painting Inspector to manage and oversee our Painting Department operations, ensuring compliance with customer and industry coating standards.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Review customer paint specifications and ensure full compliance
- Prepare Painting Procedures and Paint Material Technical Sheets (MTS)
- Raise indents along with MTS and support Purchase team in PO processing
- Control storage, certification, and receiving inspection of painting consumables
- Ensure safety measures during storage and application of paint materials
- Perform qualification of coating processes
- Manage calibration schedules, status,



and in-house calibration of inspection equipment
- Monitor and control contractor/subcontractor activities — surface preparation, blasting, and painting — including checks on abrasive quality, surface profile, coating thickness, and environmental conditions
- Conduct tests such as Holiday Testing and Adhesion Testing to verify coating-substrate bond strength
- Verify correct colour-coding and painting per specification
- Liaise with Third-Party Inspectors (TPI) for Visual Inspection, Holiday Testing, Adhesion Testing, DFT Measurement, etc., as per approved procedures
- Manage the overall operations of the Painting Department

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Strong working knowledge of ANSI, SSPC, ASTM, NACE & ISO codes/standards
- Prior experience in an industrial/manufacturing coating setting preferred
- Good coordination skills to work with contractors, purchase team, and TPI agencies
