Job Overview

The Commercial Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods, materials, or company personnel. The role includes driving assigned vehicles, following designated routes, ensuring proper loading and delivery of goods, maintaining vehicle cleanliness and basic condition, and completing required trip and delivery documentation. The driver must follow all traffic laws and company safety procedures while ensuring reliable and effective transportation operations.

- Drive company/commercial vehicles safely and responsibly.
- Transport and deliver goods/materials to assigned locations.
- Load and unload goods as required.
- Follow assigned routes and delivery schedules.
- Ensure timely pickup and delivery of materials.
- Check vehicle condition before and after each trip.
- Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the vehicle.
- Ensure all required vehicle documents are valid and available.
- Maintain trip sheets, delivery challans, fuel records, and other required documents.
- Follow traffic rules, company policies, and safety procedures.
- Report vehicle breakdowns, accidents, damages,



or maintenance issues immediately.
- Coordinate with the warehouse, customers, and supervisors regarding deliveries.
- Assist with checking goods during loading and unloading.
- Handle company goods responsibly and prevent damage or loss.
- Perform basic vehicle checks such as tyres, lights, oil, brakes, and fuel.
- Carry out other driving-related duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

- Valid Commercial/Transport Driving Licence appropriate for the vehicle
- Good knowledge of local routes and traffic regulations.
- Safe driving record.
- Physically fit and responsible.
- Punctual, disciplined, and reliable.
- Basic communication and documentation skills.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Immediate joiners preferred.
