Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and develop PFDs and P&IDs; for marine piping systems.
- Perform hydraulic calculations and pipe sizing calculations.
- Calculate pressure drop, flow velocity, pump head and system losses.
- Develop piping systems based on process requirements, equipment data and preliminary calculations.
- Prepare and review Line Lists, Valve Lists, Equipment Lists and piping specifications.
- Select appropriate pipes, valves, fittings and piping components.
- Review equipment/vendor drawings and coordinate piping interfaces.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable marine standards, Class rules and project specifications.
- Coordinate with shipyard, equipment suppliers and other engineering disciplines.
- Respond to technical comments from clients, consultants and classification societies.

Required Experience





- 5+ years of experience in Marine Piping Design / Shipbuilding / Offshore Engineering.
- Solid experience in PFD, P&ID;, hydraulic calculations and pipe sizing.
- Good knowledge of marine piping systems such as Ballast, Cargo, Inert Gas, Bilge, Fire Fighting, Cooling Water, Fuel Oil and other utility systems.
- Knowledge of JIS / ASME / ISO / ASTM piping standards.
- Familiarity with DNV, ABS, BV, LR, IRS or other Class requirements.
- Good working knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Excel.
- Experience with AVEVA Marine/E3D, CADMATIC, ShipConstructor or similar software is an advantage.
