Job Description

Edify School is seeking a passionate and creative Music Teacher (Vocal & Instrumental) to inspire students through the power of music. The ideal candidate should be skilled in vocal training and proficient in one or more musical instruments, with the ability to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment. The teacher will play a key role in nurturing students' musical talents while preparing them for school events, competitions, and performances.

Key Responsibilities

- Teach vocal music and one or more musical instruments such as Keyboard, Piano, Guitar, Violin, Tabla, Drums, or other relevant instruments.
- Plan and deliver engaging music lessons in accordance with the CBSE curriculum and school guidelines.
- Train students for assemblies, annual day celebrations, cultural programs, competitions, and inter-school events.
- Develop students' understanding of vocal techniques, rhythm, music theory, and performance skills.
- Encourage creativity, confidence, teamwork, and stage presence through music activities.




- Organize and manage choir, orchestra, band, and other music club activities.
- Maintain music instruments, teaching resources, and ensure proper use of the music room.
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain academic records.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school leadership to enhance the performing arts program.

Requirements

- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Music (Vocal/Instrumental) or an equivalent recognized qualification.
- 1–5 years of teaching experience in a school; CBSE experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in vocal music and at least one musical instrument.
- Excellent communication, classroom management, and presentation skills.
- Ability to motivate and mentor students across different age groups.
- Passion for music education with a commitment to fostering creativity and excellence.
- Willingness to relocate.
