Senior Associate, Data Engineering - Job Description

Night Shift Support: 6pm to 3am IST (preferred) Or4pm to 1am IST (mandatory)

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented teammate to join our Data Management & Operations group.

Key Responsibilities

Data Strategy & Operations

- - Leverage expertise in data modeling, analysis and data management
- Review business requirements with partners and upstream data provider teams to ensure the data availability, quality and readiness.
- Provide data driven recommendations to refine use case scope, targeting logic and expected business value.
- Perform ad hoc data analysis using Excel, AWS and other tools to support real-time decisions.
- Collaborate with dependent teams and stakeholders to ensure accurate, actionable data for development projects.

Stakeholder Management & Collaboration

- - Communicate effectively across cross-functional teams to address data needs.
- Co-ordination and collaboration with multiple stakeholders
- Engage with Business/TA, Marketing, and Product stakeholders to understand the rationale, value added and prioritize tasks with the expected outcome of the NBA use case.
- Deliver polished presentations and address inquiries from stakeholders confidently.

Domain Expertise





- - Apply pharmaceutical industry expertise, including data on claims, sales, market landscape, and clinical trials.

Business continuity

- - Conduct regular check-ins with the Subject Matter Experts (Sales, Claims, SP, etc.) and other functional teams to stay informed on upstream changes, proactively preparing the NBA downstream team for necessary data adaptations.
- Coordinate release planning and communication across all dependent teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a meticulous focus on quality and accuracy.
- Uphold best practices in data governance and analytics organization-wide.

Technical Skills

- - Data Analysis: Proficient in Excel and SQL.
- Programming: Python knowledge is desirable.
- Cloud Platforms: Experience with AWS, Google Cloud, or Dataiku.
- Domain Knowledge: Expertise in US Pharma operations and data modeling.
- Data Assets: Familiarity with secondary datasets, including IQVIA Sales, 867 data, LAAD Claims, Affiliations, CRM Interactions, Veeva CRM, and Medical Clinical data.

Experience & Background

- - Total Experience: 4+ years of experience in Analytics/Consulting with very good communication skills
- Industry Experience: 2-3 years in Pharma/Biotech/Healthcare.
- Education: B.Tech/B.E, Master’s degree (certifications in data-related analytics fields are additional advantage).
