Job Summary

We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Staff Nurse – Gynecology to provide quality nursing care to gynecology and obstetric patients. The candidate will be responsible for patient monitoring, medication administration, assisting doctors during procedures, and maintaining proper nursing documentation.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide comprehensive nursing care to gynecology and obstetric patients.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and overall condition and report changes promptly.
- Administer medications, injections, IV fluids, and treatments as prescribed.
- Assist doctors during gynecological examinations and procedures.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care.
- Assist in the care of antenatal, postnatal, and gynecological patients.
- Monitor patients after procedures and surgeries for complications.
- Maintain accurate patient records, nursing notes, medication charts, and other documentation.
- Follow infection-control, medication-safety, and hospital protocols.




- Educate patients and attendants regarding medication, hygiene, diet, procedures, and discharge instructions.
- Handle emergency situations appropriately and inform the doctor/senior nurse when required.
- Ensure proper handover of patients between shifts.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and availability of nursing equipment.
- Coordinate effectively with doctors, nursing staff, laboratory, pharmacy, and other departments.

Requirements

- Qualification: GNM / B.Sc. Nursing
- Valid nursing registration.
- Experience in Gynecology/Obstetrics will be an advantage.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic knowledge of emergency care and infection control.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts.
- Compassionate, responsible, and patient-focused approach.
