About the Role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to design and build scalable backend services and data platforms. You will develop systems end-to-end — from data modelling and API design through event streaming and production operations — while collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems.

Responsibilities

- Design and develop RESTful APIs using FastAPI
- Create & Optimize data models in PostgreSQL
- Build and maintain event-driven systems using Apache Kafka
- Design data pipelines and workflow orchestration using Apache Airflow
- Lead low-level and high-level design sessions.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to code

Required Skills

- Python — advanced proficiency
- FastAPI — API design, versioning, dependency injection
- PostgreSQL — schema design, query optimization, migrations
- Apache Kafka — producers, consumers, streams; production experience required
- Robust communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders

Good to Have

- Neo4j — graph data modelling
- GraphQL — schema design and API design patterns
- Basic familiarity with containerization and CI/CD workflows
- Apache Airflow — DAG design and pipeline orchestration
