Vice Principal – Online School (Full-Time)

Location - Lohegoan, Pune

A senior academic and operational leadership role with responsibility for LMS oversight, scheduling,

faculty coordination, and a regular teaching commitment.

Role Summary

The Vice Principal is a key member of the academic leadership team, responsible for ensuring

high-quality teaching, smooth operational delivery, and consistent student progress across the school.

This role combines strategic leadership, LMS management, timetabling and scheduling, faculty

support, and a regular teaching commitment within the international curriculum (Cambridge /

Pearson Edexcel / equivalent).

The Vice Principal works closely with the Principal to uphold academic standards, strengthen digital

pedagogy, and ensure the school's online systems, processes, and learning environment operate at a

high level.

Key Responsibilities

Academic Leadership & Quality Assurance

• Lead and support teachers in delivering high-quality online lessons aligned with international

curriculum standards.

• Oversee academic planning, assessment cycles, reporting windows, and exam readiness.

• Monitor student progress data and intervene where necessary to support achievement.

• Conduct regular lesson observations, feedback cycles, and professional development sessions.

• Ensure consistent use of school-wide teaching frameworks and digital pedagogy standards.

• Maintain high expectations for student engagement, attendance, behaviour, and outcomes.

• Collaborate with the Principal on strategic academic initiatives and school improvement

planning.

LMS Management & Digital Operations





• Oversee the school's Learning Management System (LMS) to ensure smooth operation,

accurate course setup, and consistent teacher usage.

• Ensure teachers upload lesson materials, homework, assessments, and feedback in a timely

and structured manner.

• Monitor LMS analytics to track student engagement, assignment completion, and learning

trends.

• Lead training for teachers on LMS best practice, digital tools, and workflow optimisation.

• Coordinate with IT support to resolve LMS issues and implement system improvements.

• Ensure robust use of digital learning resources, past papers, and structured practice materials.

Scheduling, Timetabling & Operational Coordination

• Design and maintain the school timetable, ensuring efficient allocation of teachers, subjects,

and student groups.

• Manage scheduling changes, cover arrangements, and termly timetable updates.

• Coordinate academic calendars, exam windows, reporting cycles, and school events.

• Ensure smooth communication between academic, pastoral, and administrative teams.

• Support onboarding of new teachers, including training on systems, policies, and curriculum

expectations.

Teaching Commitment

• Teach a regular timetable (up to 12 hours per week)



within the candidate's subject

specialism.

• Model outstanding online teaching practice, including lesson design, assessment, and

feedback.

• Contribute to curriculum development, resource creation, and exam preparation materials.

• Maintain strong relationships with students and parents through explicit communication and

pastoral support.

Essential Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant subject; Master's degree preferred.

• Experience teaching international curricula (Cambridge / Pearson Edexcel).

• Proven leadership experience (Head of Department, Coordinator, Assistant Principal, or

similar).

• Strong digital pedagogy and confidence with LMS platforms and online teaching tools.

• Excellent organisational skills, time management, and attention to detail.

• Ability to lead teams, manage change, and uphold high academic standards.

• Strong communication skills with teachers, students, and parents.

Preferred Attributes

• Experience in online or blended learning environments.

• Ability to teach a second subject.

• Experience with data-driven school improvement.

• Familiarity with scheduling software and LMS analytics.
