Role Description The Senior Accountant – U.S. Accounting & Payroll is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad, responsible for overseeing end-to-end U.S. accounting and payroll operations. Day-to-day activities include managing general ledger entries, preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and company policies. The role involves processing U.S. payroll, validating time and attendance data, coordinating with U.S. stakeholders, and ensuring accurate tax withholdings and statutory reporting. The Senior Accountant will review and improve accounting and payroll processes, support audits,



maintain documentation, and provide timely financial insights to management. This position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to support smooth operations for U.S. telecom projects.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including experience with U.S. GAAP, general ledger management, and financial statement preparation.
- Hands-on experience in U.S. payroll processing, including time and attendance validation, payroll calculations, tax withholdings, and statutory reporting.
- Proficiency with accounting and payroll software (e.g., ERP systems, payroll platforms), and advanced MS Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to reconcile accounts, manage month-end and year-end closing activities, and support internal and external audits with accurate documentation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with U.S. and India-based teams, and to work across time zones when required.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; professional certifications such as CPA, CA, CMA, or equivalent are an advantage.
- Experience in telecom, operations management, or global shared services environments is preferred, along with a commitment to ethical, compliant financial practices.
