Role: Implementation Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for an Implementation Engineer to drive the successful onboarding, configuration, integration, and go-live of our SaaS platform for customers.

This role combines technical expertise, project management, customer-facing communication, and problem-solving skills. You will work closely with customers and cross-functional teams across Sales, Solutions Engineering, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and effective technical implementations.

Key Responsibilities

- Own end-to-end customer implementation projects, from project kickoff through go-live and final handover.
- Understand customer business processes, requirements, workflows, and technical environments.
- Translate customer requirements into implementation plans, workflows, configurations, and technical specifications.
- Create and maintain project plans, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), timelines, milestones, dependencies, and risk trackers.
- Configure the SaaS platform based on customer requirements, implementation best practices, and solution guidelines.
- Gather, analyse, and document integration requirements across CRM, HRMS, ERP, communication platforms, and other business systems.
- Work with REST APIs, webhooks, SFTP, data imports/exports, and third-party integrations.
- Coordinate and conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT), customer training, deployment, and go-live activities.
- Identify implementation risks, blockers, dependencies,



and scope changes, and proactively communicate them to relevant stakeholders.
- Review and manage Statement of Work (SOW) scope to ensure implementations remain aligned with contracted deliverables.
- Develop and maintain implementation documentation, configuration guides, integration specifications, and handover documents.
- Ensure a smooth transition from Implementation to Customer Success and/or Support after go-live.

Technical Skills

- Strong understanding of SaaS implementation methodologies and best practices.
- Working knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, webhooks, authentication mechanisms, and API testing.
- Experience integrating SaaS platforms with systems such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft platforms, HRMS, ERP systems, or similar enterprise applications.
- Ability to understand data structures, field mapping, workflows, and integration dependencies.
- Familiarity with tools such as Postman, Jira, Confluence, Excel/Google Sheets, or equivalent tools.
- Basic understanding of databases and SQL is an advantage.

Preferred Experience

- 3–6 years of experience in SaaS implementation, skilled services, solutions engineering, technical consulting, customer onboarding, or a similar role.
- Experience implementing B2B SaaS products for mid-market or enterprise customers.
- Hands-on experience working on projects involving APIs and third-party integrations.
- Experience in a customer-facing technical role is highly preferred.
- Strong project management, stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
