Product Development Engineer

KSB Pumps Limited is looking for a driven Product Development Engineer to join our team in Hyderabad. This role is key to coordinating product development with manufacturing plants, overseeing design calculations, and ensuring meticulous documentation and compliance with international standards like ISO 9001, IBR, and CE marking.

Responsibilities:

- Coordinate with manufacturing plants / Technical Order Processing (TOP) for product development.
- Prepare, review, and verify design calculations, providing essential inputs to Assistant Design Engineers & CAD Engineers.
- Receive, analyze, and comment on inputs / suggestions from manufacturing plants.
- Release final drawings / designs to manufacturing plants.
- Maintain quality records and manage schedule / budget records for assigned projects.
- Ensure product compliance with design standards / codes.
- Conduct conceptual design studies both pre-development and during development, under guidance.
- Study Functional Requirement Specifications and prepare Technical Specifications.
- Guide teams for various projects / assignments.




- Prepare documents as per ISO 9001 requirements, including those for IBR / CE marking related submissions and certifications, and participate in internal & external audits.

Skills:

- Strong understanding of product development processes and coordination with manufacturing.
- Proficiency in design calculations and providing technical inputs to design teams.
- Ability to analyze and integrate feedback from manufacturing plants.
- Experience with releasing final designs and drawings.
- Meticulous in maintaining quality, schedule, and budget records.
- In-depth knowledge of design standards / codes and compliance (e.g., ISO 9001, IBR, CE marking).
- Capable of conducting conceptual design studies and preparing technical specifications.
- Robust guidance skills for project teams.
- Excellent documentation and auditing skills.
