CNC OPERATOR – MONTHLY KRA & KPI

KRA 1 – Production Achievement – 20%
Achieve minimum 95% of monthly planned production quantity as per assigned machine/job and approved production plan.

KRA 2 – Quality & Dimensional Compliance – 15%
Maintain minimum 98.5% accepted production as per approved drawing, dimensions, tolerances and quality requirements.

KRA 3 – Rejection & Rework Control – 15%
Maintain rejection ≤1.5% and rework ≤2% of total monthly production. Ensure immediate reporting of repetitive defects or abnormalities.

KRA 4 – Cycle Time & Productivity – 10%
Maintain minimum 95% adherence to approved standard cycle time without compromising product quality or safety.

KRA 5 – Machine Utilization – 10%
Maintain minimum 85% productive machine utilization, excluding approved breakdown, planned maintenance and authorized non-production time.

KRA 6 – Tool, Insert & Offset Control – 10%
Use correct tools/inserts and maintain offsets within approved parameters. Control abnormal tool consumption and report tool wear/breakage immediately.

KRA 7 – In-Process Inspection – 10%
Perform required inspection using Vernier, Micrometer, Bore Gauge and other applicable measuring instruments. Ensure components remain within specified tolerance.

KRA 8 – Safety, 5S & Machine Care – 5%
Maintain 100% compliance with applicable machine safety requirements/PPE and minimum 90% monthly 5S score.

KRA 9 – Production Documentation – 5%
Maintain minimum 98% accuracy and completeness in production, rejection, rework, inspection and downtime records.

SENIOR CNC OPERATOR – MONTHLY KRA & KPI

KRA 1 – Production Achievement – 15%
Achieve minimum 98% of monthly planned production while maintaining required quality and process parameters.

KRA 2 – Quality & Dimensional Compliance – 15%




Maintain minimum 99% accepted production as per approved drawings, tolerances and customer requirements.

KRA 3 – Rejection & Rework Reduction – 15%
Maintain rejection ≤1% and rework ≤1%, identify recurring causes and support corrective action.

KRA 4 – Machine Productivity & Cycle Time – 10%
Maintain minimum 98% cycle-time adherence and identify opportunities for productivity improvement without compromising quality or safety.

KRA 5 – Independent Job Setting & Changeover – 10%
Independently perform job setting, tool setting, offset correction and changeover with minimum setting loss and ensure correct first-piece output.

KRA 6 – Troubleshooting & Process Control – 10%
Identify and resolve routine CNC machining issues including dimensional variation, tool wear, chatter, surface-finish issues and process abnormalities; escalate technical issues when required.

KRA 7 – Tool Life & Consumption Control – 5%
Monitor tool/insert life and maintain consumption within approved standards while preventing premature tool failure and unnecessary cost.

KRA 8 – Machine Utilization & Downtime Control – 5%
Maintain minimum 90% productive machine utilization and ensure timely escalation of breakdowns and avoidable downtime.

KRA 9 – Junior Operator Guidance & Skill Development – 5%
Provide technical guidance to CNC Operators and complete at least one documented operator skill-development/multiskilling activity per month, where manpower is assigned.

KRA 10 – Safety, 5S & Machine Care – 5%
Ensure 100% safety compliance and minimum 95% monthly 5S score for assigned machine/work area.

KRA 11 – Documentation & Shift Handover – 5%
Maintain 100% accurate production/quality records and effective shift handover covering production status, quality issues, tooling, machine condition and pending activities.
