Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Flight Controls Engineer to join us for the development of flight controls for an aeroelastic aircraft. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of flight control systems for unmanned aerial vehicles. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration and performance of UAV control systems.
Key Responsibilities
Design and Development:
Design and optimize the stability and controllability to meet safety and mission requirements
Develop and implement advanced flight control algorithms and systems for UAVs.
Design and optimize control loops for stability, performance, and robustness.
Collaborate with hardware and software teams to integrate control systems with UAV platforms.
Establish multiloop flight control algorithms for aeroelastic aircraft.
Implement guidance and control in MATLAB/ SIMULINK and C++
Establish sub-system-level hardware requirements and validate them experimentally.
Conduct safety analysis using STPA, FHA, FMEA and FTA.
Perform integrated system checks on iron bird and subscale platforms
Testing And Validation
Conduct simulation and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing to validate control system performance.
Perform flight testing and data analysis to refine and improve control algorithms.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to flight control systems.
