Role: Senior Mechanical Engineer (Remote)

Payout: $70 - $120/hour

Role Overview:
We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Mechanical Engineering Expert to work on a contract basis. The role is managed via the Micro1 platform and is fully remote. In this role, you will apply rigorous mechanical engineering principles to evaluate complex engineering scenarios, design calculations, thermal/structural analyses, and benchmark datasets.

Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze mechanical systems, structural integrity, kinematics, and thermodynamics to support technical validation.
• Formulate and solve complex engineering problems across solid mechanics, machine design, and heat transfer.
• Review CAD geometries, finite element analysis (FEA) results, and tolerance stack-ups for engineering soundness.
• Develop rigorous technical documentation, problem sets, and gold-standard solutions for technical evaluations.
• Provide technical feedback and recommendations to cross-functional engineering and research teams.





Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Master’s degree or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field with 4+ years of relevant industry/research experience.
• In-depth expertise in solid mechanics, dynamics, finite element analysis (FEA), and mechanical design.
• Proficiency with CAD/FEA simulation software (SolidWorks, ANSYS, Abaqus) and analytical computation tools.
• Strong mathematical background with demonstrated capabilities in root-cause problem solving.
• Excellent written technical communication skills for creating clear, reproducible engineering analyses.
