Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare and review accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with both UK GAAP/IFRS and US GAAP.
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and forecasting, to support business decision-making.
- Assist in the preparation of management reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- General Ledger Management:
- Oversee and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate, complete, and properly reconciled.
- Perform complex account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, and balance sheet accounts.
- Manage fixed assets, including depreciation calculations and asset register maintenance.
- Compliance & Taxation (UK/US Specific):
- Ensure compliance with relevant UK and US accounting standards, tax regulations (e.g., VAT, Corporation Tax for UK; Federal/State income tax, sales tax for US), and statutory reporting requirements.




- Assist in the preparation of tax computations and filings for both UK and US entities.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable Oversight:
- Supervise and review accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Manage vendor and client relationships from an accounting perspective, resolving discrepancies as needed.
- Process Improvement & System Utilization:
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP) effectively for all accounting functions.
- Assist in the implementation and optimization of recent accounting systems or modules.
- Team Collaboration & Mentorship:
- Collaborate closely with internal teams (e.g., operations, sales) and external clients.
