Role
:
Data Governance Architect: R&R;
- Define and implement the Data Governance strategy, operating model, and framework (policies, standards, procedures).
- Establish data ownership, stewardship roles, and accountability across business and technical teams.
- Lead data quality management initiatives (profiling, completeness, accuracy, consistency, timeliness).
- Create and maintain data standards, definitions,



and a common business glossary.
- Define data classification and ensure appropriate controls for sensitive data (PII/PHI/confidential).
- Design and support metadata management, data lineage, and data catalog adoption.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulations (as applicable).
- Define data access and usage controls, including role-based access and approval workflows.
- Support governance for enterprise reporting (e.g., Book of Business, Data Completeness, KPI dashboards).
- Partner with engineering teams to ensure governance is embedded into data pipelines and architecture.
- Create governance metrics, dashboards, and reporting for leadership visibility.
- Drive issue management processes for data defects including root cause analysis and remediation tracking.
- Provide guidance on governance best practices during recent system implementations and migrations.
