Job Description - Alteryx Admin

Also known as an Alteryx Server Administrator,

Responsibilities: Managing and maintaining the Alteryx Server environment

1. Server Administration: Installing, configuring, and maintaining the Alteryx Server, ensuring its reliability and performance.

2. User Management: Managing user access, permissions, and roles on the Alteryx Server, ensuring proper authentication and authorization.

3. License Management: Overseeing Alteryx licenses, monitoring usage, and ensuring compliance with licensing agreements.

4. Security: Implementing security measures to protect data and workflows within Alteryx, including encryption and access controls.

5. Backup and Recovery: Setting up regular backups and disaster recovery plans to ensure data and workflows are safe in case of system failures.

6. Monitoring and Performance Tuning: Monitoring server performance, identifying bottlenecks,



and optimizing configurations for productive workflow execution.

7. Workflow Deployment: Assisting users in deploying their workflows to the Alteryx Server and troubleshooting any deployment issues.

8. Integration: Collaborating with other IT teams to integrate Alteryx with other systems, databases, and data sources.

9. Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving issues with the Alteryx Server, including workflow failures and server errors.

11. Documentation: Maintaining documentation for server configurations, procedures, and best practices.

12. User Training and Support: Providing training and support to Alteryx users, helping them with workflow development and troubleshooting.

13. Performance Monitoring: Monitoring the performance of workflows and server resources to ensure optimal efficiency.

14. Collaboration: Collaborating with data analysts, data scientists, and business users to understand their requirements and provide solutions.
