About The Role

Nationwide is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to support the NIO team and help lead a high-performing, self-organized Agile team. This role will facilitate delivery, strengthen team effectiveness, remove impediments, and build strong partnerships across U.S. and NIO-based stakeholders.

The ideal candidate is a servant leader with demonstrated success guiding Agile teams through complex technology delivery. They will bring robust written and verbal communication skills, confident leadership, excellent facilitation, and hands-on experience with Jira Cloud.





Experience supporting Guidewire InsuranceNow (GIN) or Data and Analytics teams is strongly preferred. GIN-related work may include policy administration, integrations, batch processing, data movement, ETL, or operational stability initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as a servant leader, coach, and facilitator for the Agile team.
Establish and continuously improve Scrum, Kanban, Lean, and other Agile practices.
Facilitate daily standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and other team cadences.
Partner with the Product Owner, Tech Lead, QE, Technology Analysts, business stakeholders, and delivery partners to maintain alignment and maximize business value.
Guide works from intake and story creation through development, testing, deployment, and operational handoff.
Remove impediments, escalate obstacles requiring outside resolution, and drive timely mitigation of risks and issues.
