This Position reports to:
Senior Engineering Manager
In this role, you will have the prospect to lead and support engineering activities in all types of project sizes and complexities. Each day, you will complete the tasks cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards. You will also highlight your expertise by collecting data and supporting production of engineering design.
The work model for the role is # LI - Hybrid.
This role is contributing to the to the Process Automation business in Energy Industries division based in Bangalore, India.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Engineering, testing, commissioning, and lifecycle support of Power Management Systems (PMS), including load shedding, load sharing, synchronization,
and monitoring/control of primary electrical equipment.
- Designing, developing, and integrating DCS/SCADA solutions, including controller configuration, application engineering, HMI development, graphics creation, and system software implementation.
- Developing and implementing power system control philosophies, ensuring reliable and efficient operation of industrial power and automation systems.
- Configuring and integrating IEDs, protection relays, protocol gateways, and data concentrators, including management of IEC 61850 engineering files (ICD, CID, and SCD).
- Designing and maintaining industrial control system network architectures, ensuring robust communication between field devices, controllers, and enterprise systems.
- Implementing and troubleshooting industrial communication protocols such as IEC 61850, Modbus, OPC, DNP3, IEC 101/104, TCP/IP, Profinet, and Fieldbus.
