Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Air Intake & Exhaust System Design Engineer to join our Commercial Vehicle Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing and developing air intake and exhaust systems, with a strong foundation in GD&T;, quality tools, CAE/CFD, and project management.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and develop air intake and exhaust systems for commercial vehicle platforms, ensuring compliance with performance, emissions, and NVH requirements.
- Create and manage 3D CAD models and 2D drawings using industry-standard tools.
- Apply GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles to ensure manufacturability and assembly fit.
- Collaborate with CAE and CFD teams to validate thermal, flow, and structural performance.
- Conduct DFMEA, DVP&R;, and other quality assurance activities.
- Interface with suppliers, manufacturing, and testing teams to ensure design feasibility and validation.
- Manage project timelines, deliverables,



and documentation in alignment with product development milestones.
- Support cost reduction, localization, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering or related field.
- 3–6 years of experience in air intake and exhaust system design for commercial vehicles.
- Proficiency in GD&T;, DFMEA, and quality tools (e.g., 8D, Fishbone, 5 Whys).
- Working knowledge of CAE/CFD simulation and interpretation of reports
- Solid project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with emission regulations and vehicle integration constraints.

Preferred:

- Exposure to global vehicle platforms and supplier management.
- Experience in Unigraphics NX tool.
- Knowledge of BS-VI / Euro VI emission standards.
- Experience with prototype development and testing.
