Experience

- 0-4 years of relevant professional experience.
- Relevant experience in sports psychology, athlete psychological support, or performance enhancement would be desirable.
- Experience in conducting or assisting with psychological assessments and mental-skills training.
- Knowledge of techniques such as visualization, goal setting, relaxation, concentration, and performance-focused interventions.
- Ability to work effectively with athletes, coaches, and multidisciplinary sports science professionals.
- Understanding of confidentiality and ethical practices in handling athlete information.

Role & responsibilities

- Assist in conducting psychological assessments of athletes under appropriate professional supervision.
- Support the delivery of performance-enhancement interventions to improve athletes mental readiness and competitive performance.
- Assist in conducting mental-skills training focused on concentration, confidence, motivation, emotional regulation, resilience, and coping strategies.
- Support visualization, goal-setting, relaxation, and other psychological techniques as part of athlete development programmes.
- Assist in identifying psychological factors that may influence athlete performance, training, and competition outcomes.




- Support individualized psychological interventions in coordination with qualified sports psychologists and the multidisciplinary sports science team.
- Maintain appropriate records of assessments, interventions, athlete progress, and observations while ensuring confidentiality of athlete information.
- Coordinate with coaches, sports scientists, physiotherapists, and other support staff to provide integrated athlete support.
- Assist in preparing psychological assessment summaries, reports, presentations, and performance-support documentation.
- Support research and evidence-based initiatives related to sports psychology, mental performance, and athlete well-being.
- Follow qualified, ethical, and confidentiality standards while interacting with athletes and handling sensitive psychological information.

Mandatory:

- Bachelors/masters degree in psychology from a recognized University/Institution.
• OR PG Diploma in Sports Psychology from NSNIS, Patiala.

Desirable:

- Knowledge of sports psychology principles, psychological assessment, and mental-skills training.
- Understanding of performance-enhancement techniques, visualization, goal setting, and athlete psychological support
