Roles & Responsibilities:

1. VMware virtualization: Install, configure, patch, and maintain VMware ESXi hosts and vCenter/vCSA, including vMotion/migrations, storage management, and VMware architecture buildout.
2. Windows & Linux systems administration: Build, harden, patch, and monitor Windows Server and Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu), including compliance management across Windows/virtual/Linux environments.
3. Vulnerability management: Perform server vulnerability management by coordinating regular scans, analyzing findings, prioritizing remediation based on risk/criticality, deploying patches/configuration fixes, validating closure via re-scan, and documenting results through ServiceNow change/incident records to maintain compliance
4. Application/platform support: Install and administer MATLAB enterprise applications, plus Docker and Python application stacks in Linux environments.
5. Data center hardware & remote management: Configure and operate HPE/Dell rack/blade servers, including iLO/remote administration, routine health checks, and hands-on physical data center support. Raising the VMS request and escorting the vendors to the Datacenter as per the requirements.
6. Daily physical infrastructure inspections: Conduct daily walkthrough inspections of data center infrastructure (servers, racks/cabling, storage, power/UPS, cooling, and environmental indicators),



verify system health/alerts, identify risks early, and log/escalate issues to the appropriate teams to ensure operational stability.
7. Customer reporting: Prepare and deliver reports per customer requirements (e.g., outage summaries, incident trends, compliance/vulnerability status, patching progress, capacity/utilization, and operational health), ensuring accuracy, on-time delivery, and clear communication of actions, risks, and next steps.
8. Storage & backup operations: Working knowledge of NAS/SAN, MSA-DAS/disk enclosures, SAN switches, and enterprise storage platforms (e.g., NetApp, Dell EMC). Support tape operations including inbound/outbound tape movement.
9. Customer delivery & teamwork: Gather customer requirements, propose solutions, collaborate across teams to deliver data center infrastructure and new services, and provide advanced troubleshooting and user support.
10. Core technical fundamentals & work model: Working knowledge of HTTP, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, RAID and basic networking/routing; robust communication/problem-solving; daily onsite presence with some on-call/weekend availability.
11. Automation: Automate OS deployment and hardening for Windows, RHEL, and Ubuntu.
12. ITIL/ServiceNow operations: Plan and execute regular scheduled outages, incident/ticket management, and lifecycle/decommission activities in alignment with ITIL using ServiceNow.
