Job Summary
We are looking for a talented Requirement Engineer with 3-6 years of experience in the automotive domain, specializing in AUTOSAR-based software components.
The role focuses on creating, analysing, and managing system and software Requirements in alignment with SYS2/SWE1 processes. You will collaborate with architecture, development, and testing teams to ensure clarity and traceability. A good understanding of embedded system behavior, MBD workflows, and ASPICE practices is preferred. Strong technical understanding of embedded systems and excellent communication skills are essential for success.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, analyze, and maintain system (SYS2) and software (SWE1) requirements for AUTOSAR-based Software Components.
- Ensure requirements are clear, testable, traceable, and aligned with overall system architecture and functional specifications.
- Collaborate closely with system architects, software developers, and test teams to clarify requirement details and resolve ambiguities.
- Support SWE6 design and implementation reviews by ensuring the development team correctly interprets requirements.
- Maintain end-to-end traceability across requirements, design, implementation, and validation using requirement management tools.
- Participate in change management, impact analysis, and requirement updates throughout the development lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with internal processes, ASPICE guidelines, and automotive software development best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, Automotive Engineering , or related fields.
- 2-5 years of experience in automotive embedded systems, especially in requirements engineering.
- Strong understanding of AUTOSAR Classic Platform, SWC structure, interfaces, RTE behavior, and communication mechanisms.
- Hands-on experience with requirements management tools (DOORS, Polarion, Codebeamer, etc.).
- Solid understanding of embedded ECU behavior, communication protocols (CAN/LIN), and diagnostics (UDS).
- Solid analytical, documentation, and communication skills for collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Understanding and working knowledge of standard automotive industry practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to Model-Based Development (MBD) concepts and automotive software modeling workflows.
- Understanding of ISO 26262 functional safety fundamentals. Experience with test environments or tools such as TPT, CANoe, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of electrification, powertrain, or high-voltage domain features (nice-to-have).
- Experience working with global automotive OEM/Tier-1 teams.
