What would you do The Global Sourcing Manager is responsible for the execution of the global category Sourcing to Contractstrategy, specifically:Source to contract (sourcing plan, tender, negotiate and contract)Spend and compliance reportingCommercial risk managementContract ManagementSupplier Relationship Management Peer group or market network buildEducation / Qualifications / Certifications RequiredEducated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant areaCIPS Corporate Diploma in Purchasing and/or membership of The Chartered Institute for Purchasing and Supply or equivalent country qualification or membership would be an advantage
What are we looking for Experience RequiredDetailed knowledge of supply market, supplier capabilities and competitor activity, and expected trends at a geographic / global levelIn-depth category knowledge and proven capability of applying supplier management techniques to deliver added value benefits in addition to contracted benefitsExpertise in successful development of complex, multi-country contracts and agreementsDetailed understanding of financial evaluation and interpretation of suppliers records and their key cost and business driversFull understanding of the category total cost model, cost drivers and all factors needed to ensure a robust agreement for BAT (including specification and testing requirements)Understanding of the processes, timelines and constraints for the development and delivery of new products.



Experience in managing complex global and area projects and programs to improve performance and deliver service Sound knowledge of corporate regulations and legislation to ensure the creation of effective group contract. Experience in managing large scale, cross-country projects and programs to improve performance and deliver serviceTechnical / Functional / Leadership Skills RequiredKnowledge of the Category including the external marketplace, key drivers and levers, supply base and balance of power, supplier capabilities and trendsStrong Stakeholder Management skillset Expertise in negotiation skills and influencing skills: able to influence business partners and suppliers as well as the ability to be assertive if required to ensure compliance to contract Robust interpersonal and communication skillsStrong digital analytical and numerical abilityAbility to develop and maintain effective partnerships working across geographic boundaries and functionsA focus on service delivery and savingsPreferably IWS / Lean Manufacturing experience
Roles and Responsibilities: Define Global Sourcing strategies for the category to achieve the business objectives for the next 1 2 yrsExecute sourcing plans in line with global standards and policiesLead global and geographic contract negotiations effectively to deliver robust terms and conditions that manages BATs service delivery and commercial risk that represent value for moneyBuild strong supplier base relationships and manage negotiation and supplier selection within the framework of the category strategies and sourcing strategies Lead global and geographic supplier management and drive geographic continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers in coordination with business functions Monitor contractual performance in accordance with agreed SLAs to identity and resolve issues, escalating as appropriateAbility to understand and communicate the individual category strategy to internal stakeholdersBusiness Continuity plan execution and pro-active risk management
