Role Overview

We are seeking a self-driven Skill Development Consultant to anchor our presence in Gujarat from Gandhinagar. This is an independent, ownership-heavy role: you will build and manage relationships with state government departments and missions, position our NSQF-aligned and credit-linked programmes with schools, colleges and universities, and convert those relationships into signed partnerships and funded programmes.

Key Responsibilities

- Build and sustain working relationships with different state bodies including the Department of Labour, Skill Development Employment, Skill Development Missions, Directorate of Employment Training, private schools and colleges and relevant district administrations.
- Track state and central scheme announcements, tenders, EOIs and RFPs; flag opportunities early and drive internal go/no-go decisions.
- Represent the organisation in departmental meetings, review committees, empanelment processes and government-convened workshops.
- Support empanelment, affiliation and centre approval processes with state agencies and sector skill councils.
- Map proposed courses to NSQF levels and the relevant National Occupational Standards NOS and Qualification Packs QPs.
- Structure programmes for academic credit alignment under NCrF, ensuring credit definitions, learning hours and assessment design stand up to institutional and regulatory scrutiny.
- Coordinate with the academic team on credit transfer, ABC registration and embedding of vocational credits into school and higher education programmes.
- Interpret NCVET, UGC, AICTE and NEP 2020 guidance for institutional partners and translate it into practical implementation plans.
- Draft high-quality proposals, concept notes,

MoUs and commercial offers for the introduction of new skill courses in schools, colleges and universities.
- Build costing models, delivery plans, infrastructure requirements and outcome frameworks that are defensible to both academic committees and finance heads.
- Prepare tender and bid documentation for government skilling projects, including technical write-ups, compliance annexures and past-performance narratives.
- Customise pitch material by audience - school management, college principals, university registrars, government officials, and CSR decision-makers.
- Own the pipeline end to end: prospecting, first meeting, proposal, negotiation, closure, and handover to delivery.
- Promote courses and partnership models independently, without day-to-day supervision, and be accountable for conversion targets.
- Organise and lead orientation sessions, principal conclaves, counsellor briefings and awareness drives to generate demand.
- Maintain an accurate CRM/tracker of institutions, officials, opportunities and stage-wise status; report progress fortnightly.
- Support mobilisation, batch launch and initial delivery coordination for partnerships you originate.
- Liaise with training partners, assessment agencies and awarding bodies as required.
- Contribute to compliance documentation, MIS reporting and audit readiness for government-funded projects.

Qualifications Skills Required

- Education: Graduate in any discipline; a postgraduate qualification (MBA, MSW, M.A.Education, or equivalent) is preferred.
- Experience: 5-8 years in the skill development, vocational education or workforce development sector, with demonstrable ownership of government or institutional relationships.
- Domain knowledge (non-negotiable): NSQF structure, level descriptors and application; National Occupational Standards (NOS), Qualification Packs and QP NOS; codes; Academic credit alignment - NCrF, credit calculation, ABC, credit transfer into school and higher education; Working familiarity with NCVET, sector skill councils, and the central/state scheme landscape (PMKVY, Samagra Shiksha vocational education, NAPS/NATS, state skill missions).
- Track record: Evidence of having independently sourced, drafted and won proposals, tenders or institutional partnerships.
- Language: Fluency in Hindi and English. Any 3rd language will be useful.
- Mobility: Willing to travel across states.

What We Offer

- Opportunity to architect and scale a future-focused, industry-integrated higher education ecosystem.
- Competitive compensation with performance-linked incentives.
- Leadership role in a rapidly growing national skills and university platform.
- A collaborative, mission-driven environment.
- The prospect to create a measurable impact on employability and workforce transformation at scale.
