We are looking for a Software Tester / QA Tester to join our team for a 3-6 months contractual/freelance assignment.

This opportunity is suitable for freshers or candidates with up to 1 year of experience who have completed a course or certification in Software Testing / Quality Assurance and are looking to gain hands-on experience working on real-world software projects.

The candidate will work closely with developers and project teams to identify, document, and track software issues and ensure that applications meet defined functional and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform manual testing of web and software applications.
- Understand functional requirements and prepare basic test scenarios and test cases.
- Execute test cases and identify functional, UI, usability, and other application issues.
- Report and document bugs clearly with appropriate steps to reproduce.
- Perform regression testing after bug fixes and feature updates.
- Verify application functionality across different browsers and devices where required.
- Retest reported issues and coordinate with developers for resolution.
- Maintain test cases, bug reports, testing logs, and other QA documentation.
- Participate in requirement discussions, testing activities, and project meetings as required.
- Support the QA/development team in ensuring software quality and timely delivery.
- Learn and follow the organization's software testing and QA processes.

Required Skills

- Basic understanding of Software Testing / Quality Assurance concepts.
- Knowledge of SDLC and STLC.




- Understanding of test cases, test scenarios, defect life cycle, and bug reporting.
- Basic knowledge of functional, regression, integration, and UI testing.
- Positive analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to understand requirements and identify functional issues.
- Basic knowledge of Jira or any bug/task management tool will be an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of SQL, API testing, Postman, or automation testing will be an added advantage.

Certification

Candidates who have completed or are pursuing a Software Testing / QA certification are preferred.

ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) or equivalent Software Testing certification will be an added advantage. CTFL is an industry-recognized foundation-level certification covering fundamental software-testing concepts.

Educational Qualification

- B.Tech / B.E. / BCA / MCA / B.Sc. / B.Com / BBA or equivalent qualification.
- Candidates from any relevant educational background with a recognized Software Testing certification/course may also apply.
