The Vikram Solar Limited Global Office (GO) is a globally oriented renewable energy venture operating as a high-growth organization within the ecosystem of its public-listed mother company, the VLS Group.
GO combines the agility, entrepreneurial spirit, and execution speed of a startup with the strategic backing and industrial foundation of a large corporate group.
As GO is just founded, and enters its first phase of growth, the company is building a lean but high-impact CEO Office capable of supporting international growth, strategic execution, organizational scaling, and cross-functional coordination across multiple stakeholders and geographies.

Position Overview
The Lead Program Manager is a foundational leadership role within the to be formed CEO Office of GO.
During GO s startup and scale-up phase, this position combines responsibilities across:
- Program Management
- Project Management
- Strategic Execution
- Corporate Coordination
- CEO Office Operations
- Executive Support
As GO currently operates with a lean organizational structure, this role requires a highly versatile and entrepreneurial professional capable of operating across strategic, operational, organizational, and execution-related domains simultaneously.
The Lead Program Manager will initially drive both program and project management activities. Over time, as GO scales and the organization matures, these functions are expected to separate into dedicated roles. The Lead Program Manager position is designed with the long-term potential to evolve into a broader CEO Office leadership role.
Key Responsibilities
CEO Office & Strategic Support
- Function as the operational and strategic right hand to the CEO
- Support the CEO in managing organizational priorities, execution follow-up, and strategic initiatives
- Prepare executive briefings, presentations, reports, and decision-support materials
- Coordinate leadership meetings, action tracking, and follow-up execution
- Act as sparring partner to the CEO on strategic, operational, and organizational matters
Program & Project Management
- Lead and coordinate strategic growth programs and transformation initiatives
- Manage cross-functional projects from initiation through execution
- Establish project governance, reporting structures, milestones, and KPI tracking
- Ensure alignment between strategic objectives and operational execution
- Identify risks, bottlenecks, dependencies, and mitigation actions
Organizational Development & Scaling
- Help build and structure the GO organization through multiple growth phases
- Contribute to establishing scalable processes, governance structures, and operational frameworks
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and coordination of future team members and management trainees
- Assist in building a high-performance, internationally oriented startup culture
Corporate Coordination & Governance
- Coordinate cooperation and alignment with the VLS Group mother organization
- Balance startup agility with public-company governance requirements
- Coordinate weekly reporting and executive updates toward the CMD Office
- Support internal corporate communication and stakeholder management
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Coordinate activities across commercial, operational, technical, financial, and corporate functions
- Drive collaboration across organizational boundaries
- Ensure accountability and execution discipline across programs and projects
- Operate effectively in complex and evolving organizational environments
International Operations
- Support international business development and partnership coordination activities where required
- Coordinate communication across multiple time zones and international stakeholders
- Support global operational and organizational activities as GO expands internationally
Candidate Profile
Experience: Minimum 10-15 years of relevant professional experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Program Management
- Project Management
- Executive Advisory
- Corporate Strategy
- Renewable Energy
- Industrial or Infrastructure sectors
- Consulting or Transformation environments
Experience in startup, scale-up, or transformation environments is strongly preferred.
A track record of operation in international and cross-cultural business environments is a must.
Educational Background
A Master s degree is required.
Preferably with multidisciplinary academic exposure (e.g. different Bachelor s and Master s specialization fields)

Work Environment & Expectations
This role is not suited for candidates with a traditional 9-to-5 mentality.
GO operates as a globally oriented organization with international stakeholders, partners, and customers across multiple time zones. Flexibility, responsiveness, and commitment beyond standard office hours are considered part of the role.
The position requires:
- Frequent coordination across international time zones
- Regular travel, including international and intercontinental travel
- Active on-site presence in Kolkata during key growth phases
