Database Administrator (DBA): We are looking for a hands-on Database Administrator to join our IT Development team. You will be responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and securing our database infrastructure across MySQL (Primary), PostgreSQL (Secondary), and MS SQL Server environments. You will ensure high availability, performance, and data integrity while supporting our development teams with deployments, troubleshooting, and infrastructure needs.

Responsibilities

- Administration Maintenance: Administer, monitor, and maintain MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MS SQL Server databases in Linux/Windows environments. Ensure databases are available, protected, and performant.
- Performance Optimization: Perform database tuning, query optimization (e.g., using Performance Schema, EXPLAIN ANALYZE), and index management.
- Backup Disaster Recovery: Implement and manage robust backup, recovery, and replication strategies (Master-Replica for MySQL, streaming for PostgreSQL) to minimize downtime.
- Collaborative Support: Work with development teams on database deployments, schema design, and technical troubleshooting. Provide backend support for DEV/UAT environments.
- Operational Integrity: Manage user roles, permissions, security policies, and capacity planning. Perform routine health checks and manage patching (Service Packs/Hotfixes).
- Incident Management: Participate in production support and on-call rotations to resolve critical database issues.

Qualifications

Core Database Technologies

- MySQL: Strong hands-on administration experience (Mandatory).
- PostgreSQL: Solid working knowledge.
- MS SQL Server: Basic administration knowledge.

Technical Expertise

- Strong proficiency in SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, joins, and database schema design.
- Experience with replication, performance tuning, and backup/restore strategies.
- Familiarity with administration tools: MySQL Workbench, Performance Schema, pgAdmin, and SSMS.

Tools Environments

- OS:



Experience with Linux (Bash scripting) and Windows (PowerShell scripting).
- Cloud: Familiarity with AWS RDS, Amazon Aurora, or Google Cloud SQL.
- General: Experience with Jira (or similar ticketing tools) for change management and Git for version control.

Soft Skills

- Robust analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team.
