Job Summary

We are looking for a self-driven and experienced Project Manager with 8-10 years of experience to independently drive projects from initiation through successful delivery. The candidate should have strong project management skills along with a valuable understanding of regulatory requirements, compliance, governance, and risk management, preferably within the Insurance/BFSI domain. The ideal candidate should be proactive, accountable, comfortable working with senior stakeholders, and capable of driving projects independently with minimal supervision. Knowledge of Finance/Accounting and financial processes will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

- Take end-to-end ownership of projects from initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure.
- Independently drive project execution and ensure delivery within agreed scope, timeline, budget, and quality parameters.
- Prepare and maintain detailed project plans, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and ownership matrices.
- Define project objectives, scope, success criteria, timelines, and key milestones.
- Track project progress against approved plans and proactively identify deviations.
- Ensure timely completion of project deliverables and escalate critical issues appropriately.
- Drive daily/weekly project reviews and maintain clear action trackers.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Business, IT, Finance, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and external vendors/consultants.
- Ensure effective resource planning and allocation across project activities.
- Manage project dependencies, risks, issues, assumptions, and constraints.
- Drive RAID log, action tracker, decision log,



and milestone tracker.
- Self-Driven Project Ownership: Act as the single point of ownership for project execution and delivery.
- Proactively identify potential problems before they impact timelines or deliverables.
- Follow up with stakeholders and ensure closure of pending actions without continuous supervision.
- Challenge delays, dependencies, and process gaps and drive corrective actions.
- Provide clear recommendations and decision points to senior management.
- Maintain strong ownership of project outcomes rather than only coordinating activities.
- Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.

Regulatory Compliance

- Coordinate projects involving regulatory, compliance, governance, and audit requirements.
- Understand and track applicable regulatory requirements impacting project scope and deliverables.
- Work closely with Compliance, Risk, Legal, Audit, and Business teams to ensure regulatory requirements are incorporated into project execution.
- Maintain regulatory requirement trackers and ensure timely closure of compliance-related actions.
- Assess project impacts arising from new or revised regulatory guidelines.
- Ensure project documentation, controls, approvals, and evidence are maintained appropriately.




- Support internal and external audits by coordinating required project documentation and evidence.
- Identify compliance risks and ensure appropriate mitigation plans are implemented.

Insurance Domain Knowledge

- Experience in the Life Insurance / General Insurance / BFSI domain will be preferred.
- The candidate should have exposure to areas such as: Insurance policy administration, New business and underwriting, Policy servicing, Claims, Premium and collections, Customer/agent processes, Distribution and sales applications, Regulatory reporting, Compliance and governance, Insurance operations transformation, Digital/technology initiatives.
- Knowledge of regulatory bodies and frameworks such as IRDAI requirements, regulatory reporting, data/privacy requirements, information security controls, and audit/compliance processes will be an advantage.

Finance Knowledge

- Basic understanding of Finance and Accounting processes.
- Understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, costing, and financial controls.
- Exposure to Ind AS / IFRS or insurance accounting will be an advantage.
- Understanding of project budgeting, cost tracking, and financial impact assessment.
- Ability to coordinate with Finance teams on financial requirements and project deliverables.
- Exposure to insurance finance, actuarial, or financial reporting projects will be a strong advantage.
