Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Performance Test Engineer with 5-7 years of expertise in Performance Engineering, Load Testing, Capacity Planning, and Performance Tuning of enterprise ASP.NET-based web applications. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in the Life Insurance domain, working on mission-critical applications such as Policy Administration Systems, Agent Portals, Customer Portals, and Core Insurance Platforms. The candidate will be responsible for designing end-to-end performance testing strategies, developing workload models, executing large-scale performance tests, identifying system bottlenecks, and collaborating with Development, DevOps, Infrastructure, and Database teams to optimize application performance.

Responsibilities

- Performance Test Planning
- Analyze Functional and Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs).
- Define Performance Test Strategy, Scope, Entry/Exit Criteria, and Acceptance Criteria.
- Estimate performance testing effort and timelines.
- Prepare workload models based on business transaction volumes and concurrent user load.
- Design realistic performance test scenarios based on production traffic.
- Performance Test Execution
- Design, develop, and maintain reusable performance test scripts using: Apache JMeter, LoadRunner, NeoLoad (preferred).
- Perform: Load Testing
- Stress Testing
- Spike Testing
- Volume Testing
- Scalability Testing
- Endurance (Soak) Testing
- Capacity Testing
- Simulate concurrent users and production-like workloads.
- Execute performance testing for: ASP.NET Web Applications, ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Core, REST APIs, Web Services, IIS-hosted applications
- Performance Analysis
- Monitor application performance during test execution.




- Analyze: Response Time, Throughput, CPU Utilization, Memory Consumption, Network Latency, Disk I/O, Garbage Collection, Thread Utilization, Database Performance
- Identify performance bottlenecks at: Application Layer, Web Server Layer, Database Layer, Infrastructure Layer, Network Layer
- Recommend performance tuning and optimization strategies.
- Collaboration
- Work closely with: Developers, Solution Architects, Database Administrators, DevOps Engineers, Infrastructure Teams, Business Analysts, Project Managers
- Participate in defect triage and root cause analysis sessions.
- Validate performance improvements after code fixes.
- Reporting
- Prepare detailed Performance Test Reports.
- Present findings with graphs, metrics, bottleneck analysis, and recommendations.
- Publish daily and weekly performance testing status reports.
- Support Go-Live readiness and Production Performance Validation.

Life Insurance Domain Experience

- Hands-on testing experience in one or more of the following Life Insurance modules: Proposal Management; New Business; Underwriting; Policy Issuance; Premium Collection; Policy Servicing; Renewals; Claims Processing; Surrender; Revival; Loan Against Policy; ULIP; Fund Switching.

- Experience testing enterprise Policy Administration Systems (PAS) is highly preferred.
