Position Title: Senior Project Manager Mechanical (Piping)

Experience Required: 10+ Years

Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager with over 10 years of hands-on experience in leading Industrial Project , execution, specializing in the Erection, Installation, Testing , Commissioning of complex piping systems, Pipe Fittings, & high-pressure Industrial Valves.

The ideal candidate will manage end-to-end site operations, client relationships, engineering reviews, safety compliance, project scheduling, cost control, & cross-functional team management for heavy industrial, oil & gas, petrochemical, or energy sector projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Execution

- Lead end-to-end execution of industrial piping, valve, & structural mechanical erection projects from site mobilization through to final turnover.
- Develop baseline schedules (using MS Project or Primavera P6), Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), & resource histogram plans.
- Monitor Project Milestones, Daily Progress Reports (DPR), & drive productivity targets for piping fabrication, laying, alignment, & valve testing.

2. Engineering & Technical Leadership

- Review & approve Piping Isometrics, P&IDs; (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams), General Arrangement Drawings (GADs), & Bill of Quantities (BOQ).
- Oversee site erection works, pipe fit-up, support fabrication, alignment, & torqueing of mechanical joints/valves.
- Coordinate hydrostatic/pneumatic testing,



flushing, chemical cleaning, & pre-commissioning activities for piping networks & control/isolation valves.

3. Site & Contractor Management

- Manage sub-contractors, fabricators, site engineers, & skilled workforce (fitters, welders, riggers).
- Ensure strict adherence to Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QA/QC) standards, including NDT (Radiography, Ultrasonic Testing) & welding procedures (WPS/PQR).
- Interface with clients, consultants, & third-party inspection agencies (TPIA) for clearances, inspections, & billing certification.

4. Cost, Material & Commercial Management

- Manage project budgets, cash flow, variation orders, & claims.
- Track material procurement & inventory flow for pipes, fittings, gaskets, fasteners, & manual/actuated valves to prevent site downtime.
- Certify contractor invoices & issue progress billings to clients in a timely manner.

5. Environment , Health & Safety (EH&S;)

- Enforce strict HSE protocols across all high-risk site operations, including hot work, lifting/rigging, pressure testing, & confined space entries.
- Ensure target zero-incident milestones across project lifecycles.

Mandatory Requirements & Qualifications

- Education: Bachelors Degree (B.E. / B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering or relevant engineering discipline.
- Experience: 10+ years of direct experience in project execution for piping erection, valve installation, & commissioning.

Technical Knowledge:

- In-depth understanding of ASME standards (ASME B31.3, B31.1, ASME Section VIII/IX), API codes, & DIN/EN standards.
- Hands-on expertise with various valve types (Gate, Globe, Check, Ball, Butterfly, Control Valves, & Pressure Relief Valves) & actuator setups.
- Deep knowledge of Hydrotesting procedures, flushing protocol, & hot tapping/tie-ins.
- Software Tools: Proficiency in MS Project / Primavera P6,



AutoCAD (viewing/marking up), & MS Office suite.
- Certifications (Preferred): PMP (Project Management Professional), ASNT Level II in NDT methods, or AWS/CSWIP welding certifications.
