Role Summary

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer Java with strong hands-on experience in backend application development, API design, database integration, and cloud deployment. The ideal candidate should have solid expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Dropwizard, REST APIs, Hibernate/JPA, AWS, and relational databases, along with experience building scalable and reliable applications. Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Dropwizard.
- Build secure, productive, and reusable RESTful APIs for frontend and other application integrations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams throughout the end-to-end development lifecycle.
- Solve complex performance, scalability, and architectural challenges.
- Identify bottlenecks and bugs and implement effective solutions.
- Design and integrate data storage solutions using MySQL, AWS RDS, DynamoDB, and other databases.
- Develop database integrations using Hibernate/JPA and apply sound relational database and schema design principles.
- Write and maintain unit tests using appropriate mocking and testing frameworks.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools.
- Deploy, monitor, and maintain applications in AWS environments, including services such as EC2 and RDS.




- Work effectively in Linux environments and follow Git-based version control practices.
- Continuously refactor and improve the existing codebase, architecture, and development practices.
- Contribute to code quality, automation, and engineering standards within an Agile development environment.
- Provide regular project/status updates to stakeholders and maintain clear technical documentation.

Core Qualifications

- Strong proficiency in Java and core Java concepts.
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and its advanced features.
- Experience with the Dropwizard framework.
- Strong experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
- Good understanding of relational databases, SQL, and schema design.
- Hands-on experience with Hibernate/JPA.
- Experience with MySQL and/or AWS RDS.
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB or MongoDB.
- Working knowledge of AWS services, particularly EC2 and RDS.
- Experience with Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools.
- Strong understanding of unit testing and mocking frameworks.
- Experience working in Linux environments.
- Good understanding of scalable application and software design principles.
- Strong knowledge of Git/version control systems.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and technical documentation skills.
