The Underwriter is responsible for assessing, pricing, and managing insurance risks related to commercial property, energy, power generation, oil & gas, renewable energy, and infrastructure projects. The role involves evaluating exposures, determining coverage terms, and ensuring profitable portfolio growth while maintaining underwriting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assess property and energy risks by reviewing technical, financial, and operational information.
- Analyze loss history, risk engineering reports, and catastrophe exposures.
- Determine coverage, policy terms, conditions, limits, and pricing.
- Underwrite new business, renewals, and endorsements within delegated authority.
- Collaborate with brokers, clients, risk engineers, and reinsurers.




- Support business development by building relationships with brokers and key clients.
- Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines, regulatory requirements, and company policies.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

- Solid understanding of property and energy insurance products and risk assessment.
- Knowledge of industrial sectors which include power, oil & gas, petrochemical and renewable energy
- Analytical and financial evaluation skills.
- Negotiation, relationship management, and communication abilities.
- Familiarity with risk engineering concepts.
- Bachelors degree in engineering with professional insurance qualifications are an advantage.
