Job Description

Industry Preference: Construction Machinery, Heavy Engineering, Capital Equipment, Material Handling Equipment, Automotive OEMs and Industrial Machinery Manufacturing.

Role Purpose

Lead the procurement function and sourcing strategy for manufactured parts, bought-out components, assemblies and services. Responsible for building a robust supplier network across India and globally while ensuring cost competitiveness, quality and delivery excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and develop the Procurement team and establish procurement best practices.
Scout,



evaluate and develop suitable vendors anywhere in India for manufactured and engineered components.
Identify and develop strategic global sources for critical components, assemblies and technologies.
Lead sourcing of fabricated, machined, cast, forged, hydraulic, drive train, electrical and bought-out parts.
Drive vendor development, localization and alternate source creation.
Conduct supplier capability assessments, technical reviews and commercial evaluations.
Lead commercial negotiations .
Drive cost reduction, value engineering and procurement productivity initiatives.
Monitor supplier performance on Quality, Cost, Delivery and Responsiveness.
Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Projects, Quality and Finance teams.
Manage import sourcing, international supplier relationships and global procurement activities.
Ensure timely material availability while minimizing supply chain risks.
